My name is Lucia and I have been researching my family history since 2003. I am fascinated by the personal stories and tragedies I come across in my research; and by the process involved in discovering the answers. As any fellow genealogist can attest, there is nothing more amazing than the feeling of breaking through a brick wall or finding the name of an ancestor in an historical document.
I graduated from the University of St Andrews in June 2013 with a degree in Modern History. Currently I am studying the PGCert in ‘Genealogical, Paeleographic and Heraldic Studies’ at the University of Strathclyde.
This blog was created to document my family history research, and share some more genealogical observations.
The background image is taken from an old family album which belonged to the WHITE family. It appeared on eBay and was purchased by a fellow family history researcher, who posted details on the internet. Not all of the subjects have been identified but they include members of the WHITE, GORBOLD and VILE families. I hope that one day I can spread some genealogical kindness of my own and help reunite a family with an heirloom.
